About Us

Founded by Matt in 2008 and joined by Ellie in 2010, Stay Loose is a boutique management and digital PR agency based in the lovely English West Country (Bristol). Matt runs the Management side. Ellie runs the PR side.

Chances are that if you're reading this you've already got a fairly good idea of what Stay Loose do. We manage a handful of exquisite artists & producers, we specialise in innovative digital music PR and we co-own a small independent record label. We also manage a small writing retreat (The Rapids) in the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Via the homepage, you'll find information on the PR campaigns we’re working on, our small army of management clients and some information about the projects we are currently overseeing and the fine individuals we have close partnerships with.

Rather than roll out an endless stream of paragraphs here extolling our managerial and digital virtues, we'd much prefer you got in touch so that we can have a chat through what it is that we do. The ethos of Stay Loose is pretty simple: diligently represent our small - yet perfectly-formed - family of artists and explore the multitude of opportunities that working in the creative arts offers.

Stay Loose is owned & operated by Matt Brown, former Head of PR at Hyperlaunch with over 15 years' experience in digital music promotion and a client experience list that ranges from Warner Bros theatrical through to Random House publishers and Universal Music.

As Head of PR, Ellie has worked on a broad range of campaigns from Ghostpoet’s Mercury-nominated ‘Shedding Skin’ to First Aid Kit’s breakthrough success ‘The Lion’s Roar’, and has scored numerous top ten albums with The Cribs, Of Monsters and Men, Nick Mulvey, Lucy Rose, Bear’s Den, and most-recently with Michael Kiwanuka for his critically-acclaimed #1 album ‘Love & Hate’. Ellie is also a founding member of the Bristol Women In Music network.

Drop Ellie an email (ellie at stay loose dot com) to be included on the weekly Roster Mail that is shared with subscribers every Friday morning.
