2017 was a pivotal year for Haux, the multi-media-silhouette of Woodson Black. From his quiet home in the Berkshires (Western Massachusetts), the photographer-turned-musician carefully curated each step of his debut EP ‘All We've Known’ - producing each song, photo, and video. By the year's end, Haux had been streamed over 50 million times and had played sold-out shows on multiple continents.

After releasing his sophomore EP ‘Something To Remember’ (via Ultra Music) a few weeks ago, the enigmatic artist now returns with an accompanying short film also entitled ‘Something To Remember’. Once again with the ‘Something to Remember’ project, Woodson has been at the helm of every creative aspect of the artistic process, from producing every recording on the EP to crafting all the artwork, self-portraits, and more.

The short film was written, filmed and directed by Woodson. Starring model Chloe Nørgaard, the film meditates on the rapid rise and fall of a romance between a young carpenter and a mysterious foreigner that plays out after the course of three days. The languid, graceful visual explores the depths of love, loss, and atonement, with poetic musings narrated throughout in Swedish.

Speaking about the film, Woodson has shared: "The original idea of the story came after I woke up from a bad dream and couldn't fall back asleep. I dreamt of a box filled with pink smoke in the middle of a snowy landscape. The contrast of something so man-made against something so pastoral scared me for some reason," Woodson explains. "It also stuck with me for weeks and eventually I crafted a story around it. The box became a visual representation of a very close friend of mine who went abroad and never came back. I hoped to capture the feelings of loss that I felt during that time in my life with the intimate moments of a new relationship and the beautiful yet vacant landscapes. I also wanted the voiceover to feel as familiar and calming as it did foreign and far away. It's all a story about learning to love someone who broke your heart."
